Trouble looms once more in Sac-Town as the trade rumours surround the ever-disappointing Kings. With Rudy Gay wanting out of the team, it’s not an understatement that the team is under duress. Joel Embiid and the rest of the 76ers can see this as an opportunity, but I don’t think they can match the Kings blow-for-blow.

To be on the safe side, choose Sacramento -5.00 @ 1.98.

Detroit Pistons @ Boston Celtics (December 1, 8:30 GMT+8)

Isaiah Thomas and the rest of the Boston Celtics are quietly solidifying their playoff spot with solid play. However, they will face a defensive Pistons side that recently beat Charlotte to submission. What can decide this game are the TD Garden crowd and Boston’s three-point shooting. If they can rattle the Piston defence from anywhere on the court, we can see this as a W for the Celtic green.

Memphis Grizzlies @ Toronto Raptors (December 1, 8:30 GMT+8)

The Memphis Grizzlies are on thin ice roster-wise: star guard Mike Conley adds to the team’s ever-increasing injury list. Head coach David Fizdale is in trouble as they visit the tough Raptors across the border.

I think Conley’s injury have put a huge dent on the Grizzlies’ chance of grabbing a win up north, so go big and punt Toronto’s way with a -11.50 handicap for 2.03.

New York Knicks @ Minnesota Timberwolves (December 1, 9:00 GMT+8)

The Minnesota Timberwolves don’t have the greatest home record, but the visiting Knicks can’t win a game outside Madison Square Garden. This match will be interesting for basketball fans as the young Timberwolves will maximise their youth to combat the veteran-filled New York roster.

I think New York’s terrible road record will rear its ugly head in this game, so bet on Minnesota to win this one; -4.00 @ 2.00 for the Timberwolves is a reasonable bet.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Chicago Bulls (December 1, 9:00 GMT+8)

Nick Young’s ankle injury in their New Orleans defeat means that three cannons of the Laker offence are questionable for their road trip to Chicago. I don’t think Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams can do enough to null the damage Chicago can bring.

Washington Wizards @ Oklahoma City Thunder (December 1, 9:00 GMT+8)

Both of these teams have question marks over their heads. Can the Wizards manage to win with John Wall and Bradley Beal at their core? Can Russell Westbrook manage to end the season with double-figure averages in points, rebounds and assists?

The things we are sure of is this: The Thunder can defend their home ground and the Wizards are terrible road teams. Expect another Westbrook triple-double as the Thunder cruise past Washington. Place a bet on OKC -5.50 @ 1.84.

San Antonio Spurs @ Dallas Mavericks (December 1, 9:30 GMT+8)

The San Antonio Spurs are looking vulnerable after a shocking 95-83 home loss to the Orlando Magic. Now, they have to visit the struggling Dallas Mavericks for the second round of the Interstate 35 rivalry. Harrison Barnes will finally get some help with Deron Williams looking ready to play again. However, Rick Carlisle will still have to find a stopper for Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol.

Atlanta Hawks @ Phoenix Suns (December 1, 10:00 GMT+8)

Both the Hawks and the Suns want to cut their losing streak with a win in this game. Sparks will fly between Dwight Howard and defensive anchor Tyson Chandler when they clash down low. It will be up to Dennis Schroder and company to stop Devin Booker and Eric Bledsoe from scoring.

This game will probably be an Atlanta win, but Phoenix should be able to keep it close. Punters should choose the Suns +5.50 @ 1.95.

Miami Heat @ Denver Nuggets (December 1, 10:00 GMT+8)

The Miami Heat are struggling to get wins without Dwyane Wade and Luol Deng on their roster. They may have a chance to win comfortably against a somewhat drained Denver squad if Danilo Gallinari, Will Barton and ex-Miami player Mike Miller decide to excuse themselves from the game.

However, playing up high in Denver might be too difficult for the beach-loving players of Miami. I think the best punt to make will be Denver -6.00 @ 2.02.

Indiana Pacers @ Portland Trail Blazers (December 1, 11:00 GMT+8)

Indiana’s forward situation is looking grim: Paul Goerge, C.J. Miles and Kevin Seraphim won’t be joining Myles Turner when they head to Portland. Without their star guy, I don’t think they can manage to even outmuscle Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum and the rest of the Blazers. Punters should go big and pick Portland -8.00 @ 2.04. The chances of this game ending in a Portland blowout are big.
