      Ten games in Thursday’s NBA live betting spectacle with one game to highlight them all. The league’s best offence will face the league’s best defence in their first of four battles this season. Sure enough, betting odds will back the Warriors on this one, but the Clippers are more than ready to smash the betting tips and prove doubters wrong, just like what they in their match against Cleveland last week. Indeed, it is a night not to miss with the Western Conference promising an intense basketball action.

Golden State Warriors @ LA Clippers (December 8, 11:30 GMT+8)

After Klay Thompson’s 60-point explosion at Oracle Arena, the Warriors’ overflowing energy and confidence will certainly carry through to this battle of the West’s top contenders. The Clippers boast the best defence in the league, so the Warriors’ attack is expected to encounter some speed bumps. Nevertheless, with the Bay Area Super Team proving to be the real deal, the Clips might just find them too powerful. I’ll go for Golden State -4.50 for 2.00.

Boston Celtics @ Orlando Magic (December 8, 08:00 GMT+8)

Rebounding is still a problem for the Celtics, and they will surely feel its consequences when they face the Magic frontcourt of Serge Ibaka, Nikola Vucevic and Bismack Biyombo. Offence-wise, however, Orlando can’t hold a candle against them.

Detroit Pistons @ Charlotte Hornets (December 8, 08:00 GMT+8)

Following their ugly collapse in their recent games, Charlotte will enter this match with little confidence. They might have won against Dallas the last time out, but they won’t easily forget how Detroit gave them a 23-point thrashing seven days ago. It also doesn’t help them that Reggie Jackson is back for the Pistons. I see a repeat of their previous meeting here; hence, Detroit +5.50 for 1.95 is the best choice.

Denver Nuggets @ Brooklyn Nets (December 8, 08:30 GMT+8)

With their offence remaining stagnant in the absence of Jeremy Lin, Kenny Atkinson needs to emphasise the importance of defence on his Nets squad. Although Denver are still looking for some consistency on the offensive end, Brooklyn still can’t ignore them with Wilson Chandler and Will Barton finding their groove. With that said, go for the Nuggets -5.00 for 1.98.

Miami Heat @ Atlanta Hawks (December 8, 08:30 GMT+8)

The Hawks have gone from hero to zero as they lost their last seven games which include three blowout defeats to the Jazz, Pistons and Raps. Paul Millsap’s return, however, should allow them to regain their form, especially against a Miami outfit slowed down by injuries. Atlanta on -7.50 for 1.88 should be a good bet.

Portland Trail Blazers @ Milwaukee Bucks (December 8, 09:00 GMT+8)

Eastern Conference player of the week winner Giannis Antetokounmpo will aim to get his Bucks back to winning after suffering a narrow loss to the Spurs. Portland should pose more threat with Al-Farouq Aminu back on the court, but they still have some matters to address with their recent poor performance on the road. If you’re punting, go for Milwaukee -2.00 for 2.02.

Cleveland Cavaliers @ New York Knicks (December 8, 09:00 GMT+8)

The honeymoon stage is over for LeBron James and the Cavaliers; now, they will look to build on their win over the Raptors to further establish their claim to the throne. Although the uncertainty about J.R. Smith will make things a little difficult for them, handling the Knicks who have issues taking care of the lead should still be achievable.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Houston Rockets (December 8, 09:00 GMT+8)

Los Angeles are on a three-game winless run while Houston are the total opposite as they stay unbeaten in three. These streaks, nonetheless, are unlikely to change given that the Lakers’ core is still without some key players. Count on James Harden and the Rockets to blitz the Lakers defence, so choose Houston -12.00 for 1.92.

Sacramento Kings @ Dallas Mavericks (December 8, 09:30 GMT+8)

Despite Harrison Barnes evolution to a reliable scorer, the Mavs are still unable to turn their fortunes around. Their match with the 7-13 Kings should be another opportunity for them, though Deron Williams and Andrew Bogut will need to score more for them to become a more dangerous offensive team. This one is tough to predict, but I’ll pick Dallas +3.50 for 1.94.

Indiana Pacers @ Phoenix Suns (December 8, 10:00 GMT+8)

Indiana might find it hard to recover after getting demoralised (twice!) by the Warriors, with the latest a 36-point drubbing. Thus, this is the perfect chance for Phoenix to sweep the season series against Nate McMillan’s side. But the Suns need Devin Booker and Eric Bledsoe to find their rhythm to do that.
