Could this be the best Italian Football Betting Weekend?

      It could well be! A tough game for the leaders while second and third clash, as well as basement battles certainly make for a great choice of handicap betting chances. With football games spread over three days, there’s at least one cracker this 16th Week of Serie A.

Week 16 SUNDAY:

Crotone vs Pescara
Crotone are in real bother in 19th place but put up a fantastic show in Milan to hold the hosts to 1-1, but only until the 86th minute. Still, heroics without points count for nothing and this clash, against 18th-placed Pescara is all about the points. Pescara picked up a draw against Cagliari last week after six consecutive defeats in all competitions.
A home win in this tense affair is at 2.56, Pescara to go one better than last week 2.84 and 3.05 the draw

Sampdoria vs Lazio
Fifth-placed Lazio hope to throw off the disappointment of a Rome derby loss on home soil and they visit a Sampdoria team which had a good win against in-form Torino. Lazio won’t hold any fear for the home team which has four wins from the last six and are at 3.05 to do it again.

Cagliari vs Napoli
Maurizio Sarri has a nice consistency in his side which beat Inter last week, 3-0, and Jose Callejon and Dries Mertens fired Napoli to the top of their Champions League Group with a 2-1 win in Benfica. 12th-placed Cagliari were held by lowly Pescara last week and so Sarri will be looking for and expecting another win.

Torino vs Juventus
Andrea Belotti is in fine form and has 10 goals for Torino but failed to register last week as his team lost to Sampdoria after five consecutive wins in all competitions. Leaders Juventus saw off a dangerous threat in Atalanta last week and progressed in the Champions League with a 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb with Gonzalo Higuain among the scorers.

Atalanta vs Udinese
Atalanta’s excellent run may have come to an end against the league leaders last week but they have still won the last four home games. Central defender Danilo gave Udinese a 93rd-minute winner against Bologna last week but another clean sheet is unlikely.

Bologna vs Empoli
Empoli lost to Sassuolo last week and could get cut off in the bottom four. They face a patchy Bologna team which lost to that late goal at Udinese, but have to turn around a run of four consecutive defeats. And at least one team below them will register points this weekend.

Palermo vs Chievo
Palermo does have a goal threat in Ilija Nestorovski, who has seven goals, although he failed to register in the defeat to Fiorentina last week. Plus,the bottom club team are on a long losing streak with 11 defeats from 15 league games. Chievo drew 0-0 with Genoa and are steady away. I think Palermo could get a point here though.

Week 16 MONDAY:

Inter Milan vs Genoa
Inter hit man Mauro Icardi is joint top of the scoring charts but missed out last week when Inter were well beaten by Napoli. Meanwhile, Genoa picked up a 0-0 against Chievo but they did, of course, beat Juventus two weeks so they are dangerous. Inter won their last home game 4-2 against Fiorentina.

Week 16 TUESDAY:

Fiorentina vs Sassuolo
Federico Bernardeschi hit his seventh last week in the Viola’s win over Palermo, and attacking midfielder Nikola Kalinic already has six. With this firepower they should see off Sassuolo, although the away side had a crucial and confidence boosting win against Empoli last week to pull away from the danger zone.

AS Roma vs AC Milan
Luciano Spalletti was delighted with his side’s disciplined display in putting away Lazio last week, thanks to goals from Kevin Strootman and Radja Nainggolan. He’ll be asking for the same strength of character when third-placed Milan visit, for who Gianluca Lapadula scored a late goal against lowly Crotone to stay level on points.
