Exciting Football Games Await You

Football betting in the Bundesliga is fun and action-packed this early in the season, so fans can expect more action and goals from the premier source of German football. The table is already an interesting sight, with Hannover capitalising on an outstanding start to end up just behind Borussia Dortmund. While these early results won’t dent the outright betting odds of heavy favourites Bayern Munich, they will have an impact on the upcoming games in the midweek.

WEEK 5 WEDNESDAY:

Borussia Monchengladbach vs VfB Stuttgart

Both sides have inconsistent starts to their seasons and will want to start a positive run with a win here. Borussia Monchengladbach will be in high spirits after drawing with Leipzig, while Stuttgart will be bracing for another tough time away from the Mercedes-Benz-Arena.

Schalke 04 vs Bayern Munich

Given how good the Bavarians were in the past week, I’d be able to easily say that Bayern got this in the bag. However, this midweek match is their third match in eight days. With Bayern having fatigue issues and playing away, Domenico Tedesco and Schalke have a great chance of getting a positive result.

Exhaustion will definitely get to Bayern, so my tip would be to bet on Schalke +1.25 @ 2.08.

Augsburg vs RB Leipzig

Like Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig will be playing their third match in eight days when they head to the WWK Arena and face Augsburg.

Leipzig’s two-game drawing streak may make some fans worry, especially after Augsburg won their two games in a row. The visitors may have the better squad on paper, but a win streak against an exhausted opponent can make all the difference.

Wolfsburg vs Werder Bremen

The only thing keeping Werder Bremen from being at the bottom of the table is the point they earned in their draw against Berlin. Things won’t get any easier for Alexander Nouri when his side goes to the Volkswagen Arena and face Wolfsburg.

WEEK 5 THURSDAY:

FC Koln vs Eintracht Frankfurt

To be honest, I think Peter Stoger’s time with Koln is slowly coming to an end. With the Billy Goats enduring three horrible losses in a row, I’m not sure the Austrian will even be on the touchline before September ends. His fate may be decided when his struggling XI try to fend off an inconsistent club in Frankfurt.

Hertha BSC vs Bayer Leverkusen

Hertha Berlin pulled off an incredible result by drawing against Hoffenheim. They will be hoping to pull off another one against Bayer Leverkusen. Bayer overwhelmed Freiburg for their first win of the season and will be hopeful for better things in Berlin.

I think this game will end in a draw, so I’d advise you to make a small punt for Berlin +0.25 @ 1.98.

SC Freiburg vs Hannover 96

One can argue that Hannover had an easier start to the season, but winning against Schalke is proof that they are driven to make an impact on their return to the Bundesliga. Freiburg were steamrolled by Leverkusen but are hopeful for a more favourable result against the overachieving Reds.

Hamburger SV vs Borussia Dortmund

Hamburg might be up for three straight losses when they face Borussia Dortmund at the Volksparkstadion. If Dortmund’s match with Koln is any indicator, Markus Gisdol is up for a long night. He will be hoping that the Champions League did enough to tire them out.

Mainz 05 vs Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim’s shock draw against Hertha Berlin compounds the brutal loss they suffered at the hands of Sporting Braga in the Europa League. Julian Nagelsmann can be thankful that Bayern Munich battered his opponents to the ground, however. Should his lads keep up the pressure, they’d be securing their third win of the season.

I wouldn’t hesitate to go for Hoffenheim’s -0.25 @ 2.25 Asian Handicap odds.
