He and Lucas Pouille will be leading the front for the French, while the Lille crowd will be egging them on to a win. The home court is a definite advantage that they will maximize.

Looking at the two nations’ track records in the tournament, the French are looking better off than their opponents. With two high-ranked ATP players on his roster, Yannick Noah should have an easier route to victory than Johan van Herck.

While Goffin’s spirit is not something to be scoffed at, I don’t see the Belgians causing an upset in the French’s own playground. The best outright odds to take here is France 1.20.
