The Battle for Europe Brings Exciting Betting Odds

Every club in the Bundesliga wishes for the chance to play in Europe. Not only do the fans get to watch football games in other nations, the players get the chance to compete with some of the best clubs the continent has to offer.

While it looks like Bayern Munich are running away with the title and the trust of betting websites, the chance to play European football is more than enough reason for the chasing pack to aspire for more points.

RB Leipzig vs Augsburg

Leipzig barely managed to squeeze a win thanks to a late Ademola Lookman goal, but Leipz will be coming in how after thoroughly obliterating Frankfurt. I see an interesting ending to this match, so punters should not hesitate to put money on Augsburg +0.50 @ 2.20.

Borussia Dortmund vs Hamburger SV

Hamburg will be putting their shields up the moment Michy Batshuayi steps on the pitch. He’s made a big impact on the Bundesliga with a thunderous brace in his debut. Their wariness of the player on loan from Chelsea should help Peter Stoger’s men bully their visitors into submission.

Hoffenheim vs Mainz 05

Hoffenheim are still winless in 2018, and people are probably calling for Julian Nagelsmann’s neck. The young manager needs to do a lot of work if he has to reinstate Hoffenheim in European competition next year. Thankfully for him, they have a relatively easy challenge in Mainz.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs FC Koln

Koln are close to pulling off an impressive run out of the drop zone, but Frankfurt would probably stomp on their aspirations. Frankfurt came back from an embarrassing loss at Augsburg with a 3-0 win in the DFB Pokal. There shouldn’t be any reason to doubt the hosts, so betting on Frankfurt -0.75 @ 2.19 promises big winnings.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Hertha BSC

Leverkusen are keeping Leipzig off second due to their fantastic goal difference, and their upcoming duel against middle-table Berlin should not pose any problems to them. There should be no reason for the high-scoring outfit to score goals against the capital’s team.

Hannover 96 vs SC Freiburg

Freiburg haven’t lost a football match since 2018 began, and Christian Streich hopes it remains that way. Niclas Fullkrug and Hannover will try to make things difficult for them to keep the losing streak. They’re trying to make a return to the Top Six, so a win here is a must for them.

Bayern Munich vs Schalke 04

This is easily the biggest match of the game week. Schalke are on equal points with Dortmund, and a victory here could send them straight back to second place. However, Bayern haven’t lost a single game for quite some time, and their last league win was a comfortable win against Mainz. I see a bit of a test here, but Bayern should still prevail. The score, however, should be close. Put your bets on Schalke +1.50 @ 2.14.

VfB Stuttgart vs Borussia Monchengladbach

The visiting Borussia were robbed of a draw at Leipzig and will do everything they can to salvage a win. Meanwhile, Stuttgart are doing everything they can to keep themselves out of the table. Goals will be plenty here, and fans can expect a thrilling end when these two teams meet.

Werder Bremen vs VfL Wolfsburg

Werder Bremen put up a good fight against Bayer Leverkusen, with Max Kruse and Aron Johannsson scoring early goals for them. They need to bring that same kind of offensive mettle (but better defence) when they square off against an equally struggling side in Wolfsburg.
