Can the Big Boys Finish What They Started?

Can the Big Boys Finish What They Started?

Europa League Round of 32 (2nd Leg)

After a brilliant showing in the first set of Europa League football games, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Athletic Bilbao, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan will now look to keep the betting odds swinging in their favour.

The six online betting heavyweights from Europe’s top competitions already have one foot at the last 16, but some of them can’t afford to relax just yet as anything, even a stunning reversal, can still happen.

Arsenal seem already destined for the next round following their 3-0 drubbing of Ostersund. Despite missing key strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Gunners made easy work of the Swedish side and should be able to do so again at the Emirates.

The same goes for Atletico Madrid, who now return home after a 4-1 victory over Copenhagen, and AC Milan who fired three unanswered goals against Ludogorets.

It’s a different story for Bilbao, Leipzig and Dortmund, however. Bilbao did beat Spartak Moscow by a two-goal margin, but it should be remembered the Russian side was a Champions League qualifier. FC Spartak are also playing solidly on the road and should be a threat to the Spanish outfit.

Meanwhile, Leipzig left it late to beat Napoli in the first tie. While it could work to their advantage that Napoli are more focused on their Serie A title chase, it’s still difficult to write off a team that is fighting toe-to-toe against Juventus in Italy’s top flight.

Dortmund, on the other hand, are in a perilous situation. They failed to get a comfortable lead against Atalanta in the first game, so they need to score more and keep their defence tight on the second leg. Fortunately for BVB, they are on a roll after the acquisition of Michy Batshuayi, while Atalanta are in a slump and have lost three and drew one of their last five home matches.

Other games to watch out for are the Red Star Belgrade-CSKA Moscow, Real Sociedad-Red Bull and AEK-Dynamo Kyiv matchups. All three teams played out a stalemate the last time out which should make for a thrilling second leg.

Fans should also keep an eye on Lazio and OGC Nice as the two will eye to turn around their fortunes after losing last week against FCSB and Lokomotiv Moscow, respectively.
