The Champions League has reached the quarter-final stage with eight of Europe’s big guns lined up for action in their second-leg ties on Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17, with everything still to play for.
BAYERN MUNICH VS. REAL MADRID PREDICTIONS
Bayern Munich and Real Madrid took care of two Premier League teams in the quarter-finals to set up an explosive semi-final, with the first leg at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday, April 30.
Bayern were 3-2 aggregate winners over Arsenal in the last round, while Real rode their luck but stood firm to see off Manchester City on penalties.
Now these two great European juggernauts - with a combined 20 titles between them - meet for the 27th time in this competition. There’s nothing in the head-to-head records to give us a clue, as the Spanish side hold a 12-11 edge with three draws.
Real were immaculate in the group stages with six wins out of six but have limped past Leipzig and Man City to make the last four.
They are, however, runaway LaLiga leaders, buoyed by beating Barcelona 3-2 in last week’s El Clásico and they survived a City onslaught in the second leg of the quarter-finals to give them belief they are invincible.
Bayern have been erratic all season. Carried by 40-goal man Harry Kane they have ceded the Bundesliga crown to Leverkusen after a decade of dominance and were tested mightily by both Lazio and Arsenal in the knockout rounds.
With over 2.75 goals in the match available at -124* there’s a sense that this will be exciting and, if it is open, that will suit Bayern.
But this is where Real Madrid are in their element, as they are masters of managing their way through ties, and they look like a good option to win this first leg with a match handicap of 0, which is available at +106*.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND VS. PARIS SAINT GERMAIN PREDICTIONS
Paris Saint-Germain took advantage of a huge slice of good fortune to beat Barcelona in the last eight.
Beaten 3-2 at home by the young Spanish side, they were also trailing 1-0 away and heading out when Barca defender Ronald Araújo was shown a red card. With a numerical advantage the Parisians went full throttle, and inspired by Kylian Mbappe, raced to a 4-1 success at the Nou Camp.
PSG won’t, however, find Dortmund any easier to bring down and indeed the Germans look like a decent bet for the home leg.
Barca may have lacked experience and nous when it was needed most but in players like Mats Hummels, Marcel Sabitzer, Emre Can and Marco Reus, Dortmund have old heads everywhere you look.
Their fearsome Westfalenstadion home was simply too much for Atlético Madrid to cope with in the quarters - Dortmund won 4-2 at home having lost 2-1 away - and the Yellow and Blacks haven’t lost any of their last eight home European ties.
That run includes a 1-1 draw with PSG in the group stage back in December, but Eden Terzic’s improving side can better that on Wednesday. Back the Germans to win the first leg at +180*.
