Bayern Munich must beat Borussia Dortmund in Saturday’s Der Klassiker if they are to stand any chance of catching Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the Bundesliga table. The Bavarians have turned a corner recently having netted 16 goals in their last three games. Thomas Tuchel’s team are scoring for fun.

Thomas Muller has scored in each of his last two appearances for Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena and will be a threat against Dortmund this weekend. With Harry Kane an injury doubt, Muller might have to shoulder more of the goalscoring burden for the hosts. These are the sort of occasions he thrives in.

Liverpool have an opportunity to climb the Premier League table this weekend with Manchester City and Arsenal facing each other later on the same day. Victory – or even a point – against Brighton on Sunday afternoon will be enough to move them into first position in a three-way title race that could go down to the wire. 

There have been over 2.5 goals in the last four meetings between Liverpool and Brighton in all competitions. The Reds are unbeaten in 20 of their last 21 Premier League matches, but the Seagulls will likely continue to Sunday’s game – they have scored two or more goals in each of their last four matches against Liverpool in all competitions.

Match to be a draw – Nottingham Forest v Crystal Palace

Nottingham Forest entered the March international break on the back of a five-game winless run in all competitions with Nuno Espirito Santo’s team firmly in a relegation fight after suffering a points deduction. Crystal Palace, meanwhile, have won just one of their last six Premier League outings. 

These are two teams desperately lacking in confidence right now. Palace are still acclimatising to the methods and ideas of new manager Oliver Glasner while Forest have been inconsistent since Nuno’s arrival. There have been under 2.5 goals in Nottingham Forest’s last three league games. Everything points to this being a cagey encounter.

Both teams to score – Newcastle v West Ham

Newcastle United need a win over West Ham in Saturday’s early kick-off to help turn around their season. Last season, the Magpies boasted the second-best defensive record in the Premier League. Eddie Howe’s team, however, have kept just one clean sheet in their last nine matches in all competitions.

West Ham’s counter-attacking style could expose Newcastle’s defensive vulnerabilities. Jarrod Bowen, Mohamed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta will pose a threat at St James’ Park. The Hammers have found the back of the net 10 times in their last four games and will fancy their chances of scoring on Saturday.

Graham’s Bet Build – Man City vs. Arsenal

Arsenal have already beaten Manchester City once this season. They did this by restricting Pep Guardiola’s team with Erling Haaland prevented from having much of an influence. The Gunners boast the strongest defence in the Premier League right now and will surely look to replicate their game plan from October.

Kai Havertz has found the back of the net four times in his last six games for Arsenal and has developed a knack for scoring when it matters most this season. There would be no goal more valuable for the Gunners than a strike at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City this weekend.
