One spot in the Eastern Conference Finals has already been secured by the Tampa Bay Lightning, but who will be joining them in the finals and which two teams will be duking it out in the Western Conference finals?

The Carolina Hurricanes and the New York Rangers are involved in a tight battle in their Eastern Conference series and this has the makings of a classic, but our focus rests on the two Western Conference battles that are ongoing.

Edmonton Oilers at Calgary Flames predictions

The Oilers are 3-1 up in the series against the Flames and just one more victory is required to secure Edmonton's place in the Western Conference finals.

Jay Woodcroft's men lost the first game of the series 9-6 but they have since proceeded to rack up three straight victories, winning 5-3, 4-1, and 5-3.

Canadian wing Evander Kane has been in fantastic form for Edmonton over the last two games, scoring a combined five goals, and he will be hoping to maintain his standards in Friday's meeting.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have also played a starring role for the Oilers with the duo, at the time of writing, the top two in the points statistics during the playoffs with 25 and 22 points, respectively.

Edmonton are 2.380* on the Money Line (OT included) to pick up the win on Friday, while Calgary are 1.653* to keep the series going.

Colorado Avalanche at St. Louis Blues predictions

The second Western Conference finals spot will go to either the Colorado Avalanche or the St. Louis Blues, with the latter trailing 3-2 in their series ahead of Game 6 on Saturday.

St. Louis picked up a thrilling 5-4 overtime victory over Colorado last time out to prolong the series and keep themselves in with a chance of reaching the Stanley Cup Finals.

However, the Blues must do something they are yet to achieve during this series against the Avalanche, and that is win on home soil.

Of the two games that have been played at the Enterprise Center, it has been Colorado that have walked away with wins both times, winning 5-2 and 6-3.

In fact, of the five games that have been contested so far, the home side has only been victorious once - this coming in the opening game of the series when the Avalanche won 3-2.

Fortune certainly appears to have favoured the travelling teams so far and Colorado look like they will be able to get the win that will see them progress into the Western Conference finals.

Cale Makar and Nathan MacKinnon have both scored 13 points for Colorado during the playoffs and the duo could once again prove crucial in Saturday's contest.

As for St. Louis, they have been indebted to the form of Canadian wing David Perron, who has also scored 13 points, while Canadian centre Ryan O'Reilly is just one point behind on 12.
