Chinese Super League predictions

Henan Songshan Longmen vs. Wuhan Three Towns predictions

This is a contest between two of the top three teams in the Chinese Super League and could go a long way to determining who takes the title.

Wuhan are top of the standings after winning 10 and drawing one of their opening 11 matches, while they have scored a league-leading 36 goals while conceding only six so far.

Pedro Morilla's men, like many teams in the division, have a core of Brazilians who play starring roles, with Marcao and Davidson scoring eight and seven respectively this season.

However, Henan have enjoyed a good start too and boast an impressive home record, winning five wins of their first six games at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium, drawing the other, while amassing 20 goals with just seven conceded on home soil.

Guangzhou City vs. Guangzhou Evergrande predictions

In the middle of next month, there is a local derby set to take place and one which could have huge ramifications at the bottom of the table.

Both sides, at the time of writing, are in the bottom three with only three victories recorded between the pair.

Guangzhou City sit bottom with three points and their “win” only came courtesy of Dalian Professional failing to adhere to player selection rules, so they will be desperate to claim some points.

Guangzhou Evergrande are three points better off and did claim three vital points at fellow relegation rivals Hebei China Fortune FC earlier this season – a result they will look to try and build upon.

J1 League predictions

Yokohama F. Marinos vs. Shonan Bellmare predictions

Yokohama F. Marinos are looking in a strong position to claim what would be a fifth J1 League title and their first since 2019.

They are six points clear at the top and have easily the best goalscoring record with 51 goals in 24 games, 12 more than the next highest scorers, Cerezo Osaka.

However, the leaders were beaten 2-1 by Kawasaki Frontale in their last game and will be looking to bounce back against Shonan Bellmare, who are battling relegation down in 14th place in the table.

Yokohama are unbeaten at home so far this season though and it is unlikely that Shonan will trouble that record, having won just three games on the road.

Kashiwa Reysol vs. Sanfrecce Hiroshima predictions

Kashiwa Reysol currently lie second in the table and need a good end to the season to challenge Yokohama for the title.

They face a challenge in the form of Sanfrecce Hiroshima, who currently lie sixth.

However, perhaps due to their ongoing cup exploits, Sanfrecce have stuttered in the league of late, having won only one of their last five games.

Kashiwa, by contrast, now have neither cup to worry about and have won four league games in a row.

K1 League predictions

Seongnam FC vs. Ulsan Hyundai predictions

The start of next month sees the bottom side host the leaders with Seongnam desperately trying to avoid relegation. They have had a really poor season, winning just four of 25 games to lie six points adrift of their nearest rivals and nine points from safety.

Ulsan Hyundai have a six-point cushion at the summit and have lost only three games all season.

Two of those defeats came against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and Pohang Steelers, who are second and third, so the form book would have to be thrown out of the window if Seongnam are to win this.

Incheon United vs. Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors predictions

The side in fourth place takes on the team in second with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors looking to try and close the gap to Ulsan at the top.

Following a very slow start to the season, Jeonbuk have roared back to form and have lost only one of their last 10 matches in the K1 League.

Incheon United’s season has been the opposite – they started strongly but too many draws have seen them slip away from title contention. However, they are still hard to beat as they have lost just six times in 25 matches so far this season.
