FRIDAY RUNNERS
Nothing for us at Newmarket on Friday, although we still have a small but select group of runners across two meetings, and to be honest I think they all have rock solid chances.
2:40: York | Mammas Girl (Tom Eaves)
We’ve always liked this filly, but after a good start to the season things haven’t gone quite so well since, but she hated the ground at Newmarket in the 1000 Guineas and to be honest I’m not entirely convinced she stays a mile, so we’re dropping back to six, which I think is a positive, and this is a step down a couple of Grades. Her work has been good and she is definitely not one to be writing off just yet.
2:50: Ascot | Mr Baloo (Alec Voikhansky)
He’s performed well in all three qualifying runs and makes his Handicap debut off 74. Alec takes a worthy 5lbs off his back and he has every chance of going close.
SATURDAY
